I Am No Better Than...

Lately I've noticed a pride issue. My pride is evident in certain areas of my life. Such as my singing, my small group attendance, volunteering, being busy with many things, all these things cannot add up to anything unless God put's this desire in my heart and I do them with A PASSION.

One thing is that people start to get a pride and lose the fact that they are just as susceptible to fall as the people who have already fallen.

Why do we get in these moods where we think we can overcome the world?
We are all humans. Each and everyone. God can help us with a passion to change but without Him, what we do is nothing.

That poor man living on the street is a human.
That mom with 2 kids struggling just to get by is human.
That homeless teenager who covers up what they are dealing with are human.
The couple who is happy and doing great things in life are human.
The single woman who is lonely but will not admit is human.
The single guy who wants a girl but doesn't know how to is human.
The successful people at the top 1% are human.
The people who run our country are human.
The little girl who longs for a relationship with their dad is human.
The dad who never knew how to be a dad and has no idea what to do is a human.
Jesus, God's son, came and lived as we did and made it, and saved us, he was a human.

How can I be better than a poor person? God loves that person just as much. How do we say that a family who is wealthier can run the church when a poor person have more experience than that family ever had.

The truth is we are all human.
Human nature is sinful, we want things that can break our spirit.
We want money, fame, to be known.
One thing we don't want to do is to give up what we have earned for the less fortunate unless we get some fame out of it.
People who wear Tom's shoes have done a great thing but now it's becoming a fashion icon, not a way to help people.
Help people not to get your own fame, but to help a person because that's your heart's desire.

Even I get caught up in wanting to help so I can say to someone oh I do this. But that is the wrong mindset and in the end, that is not going to make a difference.

Let's be real and help the poor, help the families who don't know how to be a family, bring joy to the less fortunate, bring joy to the people at the top by either helping them or thanking them for what they have done or created.

I'm so blessed to say God saved me from this fallen human nature which is the blatant right to have sex, swear, do drugs, be unhealthy, not workout, be unfit, divorce for a minute problem, to not give money to the poor because you want control, there are so many things that are wrong with us.

God saved you too, if you just accept it.
Take a journey to not live by pride and being known, fame, whatever your idol is.
But to help other people see the light and to have a purpose.
Through any circumstance, whether it's divorce, greed, power, whatever tears you down or consumes your life.

God can bring you out of that.

I know in American culture we are taught to work hard, be successful, and be your own person.

Let's fight this and say not everyone can work hard because of circumstances, it might be impossible for a widow to get back up on her feet.

Be successful, what is success to you? Having things? Helping the less fortunate and bringing joy to the world?
Let's paint a different picture of success, having a family, loving people, helping the poor, and making the world a happy place.

Be your own person, we all have a different purpose in life whether it is to design photos, reach out to the homeless, help the problematic society in inner cities, so why do we need to worry so much about the outside and if someone does the same thing as us?
I inspire you to share what you do, inspire people, INSPIRATION is good and if someone does the same thing, it is OK!

Remember this we are so loved by a God. We are no better than our neighbor, our fellow student, fellow church attendee, we are all human, we just have different purposes in life that do not compare.

God makes us who we are, have pride in God, you would have nothing without Him.

In my own story I am overcoming generational curses, divorces left and right, affairs, cheaters, alcoholics, broken relationships with parents, but that all doesn't matter.

God delivered me from that so I know that and I know that I can do the same exact thing they did. But I know God has changed me and He can protect me from those things. But know this just as each human has a choice, you do too, just as I do.
