Run After Your Dreams...

Lately I have been thinking about how we can lose sight of the vision we have in life.

Being a junior in college, things are always changing left and right. You think you know who you are, but then you realize something you need to change. It's a challenge.

Sometimes we want those deep friendships but lose sight that in a year and a half we will be out there on our own.

Sometimes we want that boyfriend or girlfriend and we search that out.

Sometimes our majors change a few times, and then some.

Sometimes we just don't know what life is going to look like after this semester.

I want to encourage you to think about your dreams and let God guide those dreams into reality. God has such a great plan for us!

There are chances to be taken, adventures to go on, and mistakes to be made.

One thing I'm learning that is definite, is that we tend to want to do things right, but let's be realistic, we are all human, we will make mistakes.  I tend to want to set that good example, but we forget that God can be seen in the good and the bad.

So I want to remind myself of the dreams God has placed in my heart over the years, so here are some of the desires :)

1. To go wherever God wants me to go, no matter the cost, and follow Him like Jesus did. Being led by the spirit and moving only where God would want me to go.

It doesn't mean God will send a lightning bolt answer but as I grow in God, He will show me and be in my heart and mind so I will be able to make the choice with Him in my heart.

2. To help the teenagers in America through the good and the bad times, empower them with information, be there for them and get a little crazy and show them a good way to live.

This year God has broken my heart for the teens in this nation and others. Who knows where God may call me.  Homeless teenagers have been a huge thing on my heart this year so I hope to focus my internship with youth and see where it leads me.

3. I want to finish getting my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and move on to either my Master's in social work or start working after my bachelor's degree.

4.  I would love to professionally sing, play piano, and possibly lead worship at some point. I have played piano and am learning guitar, I love to sing. I want to go somewhere with that.

5. I want to travel to Australia (Australia Zoo or Steve Irwin, Hillsong University, Awesome Accents), Mexico, California (surfing, Jesus Culture, warm weather), Alaska (try hunting, be somewhere different), Colorado (heard it's beautiful), England (my heritage), Germany (my heritage), Spain, Italy, Puerto Rico and Columbia.

6. I would love to write for a magazine like Relevant or Oncourse, or even write a book, probably self help or a story or excerpt from the story of my life.

7. I would love to buy a Dodge Challenger new and drive that around :)

8. I'd like to live on my own by the time I'm done with college in Spring 2012 in some city somewhere.

9. I want to be open, invite people to church, and have fun with all kinds of different people.

10. I want to adopt a child someday, from where, I do not know.

11. I desire to be married someday, whenever that day is, but I know God now is bettering my experiences in my own journey and making me all that I can be.

12. I desire to have kids some day. Whenever that is.

13. I want to be a fitness instructor in Zumba and stay fit so when I am older I'm still that youthful old woman who might be crazy, but is awesome.

14. I'd love to sell photography and take pictures of families as a side job someday.

15. To be Jesus' hands and feet (Audio Adrenaline)

16. To be in this world but not of it.

17. To love God with all of my heart and trust Him with everything, which is easier said then done.

As I share my dreams with you, I hope you start to think about the dreams that have been placed in your own heart. God uses your gifts and makes visions, dreams, goals out of them, don't give up hope. He has a time for you to use them if you would wait and be patient and thrive in the now.

If you make mistakes, you aren't a failure but learn from your mistakes for otherwise you will repeat them over and over.

Don't settle for less than what God has set in you. Be all that you can be. Be strong, courageous, have fun, take chances, make choices.  There are moments to be still and there are times to take action.

Live Everyday Like It's Your Last....
