True Beauty...
So lately I've been thinking of what true beauty looks like, is it being fit, is it having "the attitude", is it being bubbly, is it loving people. Well there is not one beauty, but many beautiful people. Deep inside we all strive for the beauty that God holds for us. We may not have a grasp on it until we search for His beauty in our life. Beauty is definitely not in make up, how many boys you can get to look at you. Beauty is a word that in our world is skewed and not correct. Beautiful is a word that is meant to be a genuine, sweet, representation of someone who mirrors something that is beautiful. Beauty in the bible is way better than any magazine states. Remember that song "you are beautiful no matter what they say, your words can't bring me down, oh no" so we all know whether you are a boy or girl you have probably sang that song to yourself. We all have a list of what we want or compare ourselves to. Well I'm telling you I do it too, because it's human nature. Beauty comes when you accept what has been given to you in life, in how you look, and how God has made you, and make the best of it. Just like when they say a beautiful life is one that makes due no matter what the circumstance. It could be the worst, crashing moment in your life, and you find the light at the end of the tunnel. That is what beauty is, is working with what you have, enjoying it, and doing whatever is to make you have a confidence in the way God made you. Not to mention your heart and the inside matching your outside actions. Tons of times people cannot match their outside with their inside, and let me tell you, never on your own, God is the one who can match that and change that up. Let me also say that you cannot fake your outside matching the inside, it is seen even if you do not say anything, it's obvious. God has made you into something beautiful but will you say yes and start taking action on what He wants you to be. You have a choice to be beautiful, but are you ready to give up the ugly or the hotness you feel you possess, for beauty. Mmm true beauty is worth far more than any hot thing coming and going. But you have to decide that yourself. Beauty lasts and accentuates your character. True beauty will show even in your worst moments. Everyone has beauty within them, even the man living on the streets who you think has no worth in the world, because God made us all with character and a deeper beauty but we are so focused on the worlds norms that we think are the ones we need to measure up with. I have met a lot of people in my life so far, and I would argue to say every single person in the world has a beautiful piece of their heart that you can find, because God made us that way. Beautiful, broken and beautiful. See I come from a home of divorce, generational curses, not very deep relationships, trust issues, independence things, and a lot of mess, let me just say that. Specifically not having a deep relationship with a father because honestly he was not around to develop that with me. But God showed me a different deep relationship that is worth far more than any missed out father/daughter relationship (which I still work at every here and then) and I would not trade my experience for anything in the world. But let me tell you, I did not let that stop me from making guy friends, having a boyfriend, and moving on. Brokenness makes beauty stronger and really shows perseverance and strength. If you say stuff holds you back from unveiling that beauty, you aren't ready to let go of that trust or control that holds you back from growing into the beautiful person God wants you to be. I understand that now and am moving on, but it always a work, step by step, and keep trusting in God to show me something amazing, and so far He has :)
